          Early Life

          Vinette Ebrahim was born on February 21, 1957, in South Africa.

          She is the sister of Vincent Ebrahim, a South African-British actor.

          Interestingly, her brother, six years her senior, named her after himself. Ebrahim’s father was a teacher in Woodstock, Cape Town, and also worked as an actor, writer, and director.

          In the late 1950s, the family temporarily relocated to Coventry, England, where her father worked as a stage manager, before returning to South Africa.
