Born in 1976, Ukrainian bass ALEXANDER TSYMBALYUK’s career is soaring, having given very successful company debuts at the Metropolitan Opera New York, Teatro alla Scala Milan, Royal Danish Opera Copenhagen, and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino singing the Mozart Requiem with Zubin Mehta in the season just past.
He has been immediately re-invited to all.
This season his engagements will include his company debut at Bayerische Staatsoper Munich and Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, a return to the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia and Teatro alla Scala Milan as well as various engagements at Hamburg State Opera, where he sings in the ensemble.
He will also join Zubin Mehta for concerts of Gurrelieder at the Wiener Musikverein and sing Rigoletto in concert at the Hollywood Bowl with Gustavo Dudamel.
Looking ahead Tsymbalyuk will make his company debut at Royal Opera House Covent Garden, his role debut as Boris Godunov at Bayerische Staatsoper Munich with Kent Naga
